Y'all I can't rave enough about this place!! Our dog Swayze had to have emergency surgery after hurricane Matthew and they treated her like family. They even sent us pictures of her with Dr. Mary Kay holding her after surgery. Talk about compassion. We recently took her in for a haircut which Swayze threw a fit at. Instead of giving up on her they gave us some ideas and told us to try again! Dr. Mary Kay and her staff make me feel like they love Swayze as much as I do and that makes me feel so glad to call them our veterinarian of choice. You can't go wrong with Port Royal Veterinary Hospital.

So I moved here about 6 months ago and hadn't found a vet yet. I've been following this page and decided since it's across the street, and you can absolutely tell these folks LOVE what they do, I would try it. Our girl, Sally, is a rescue. Loves people - hates animals. Very animal aggressive. They made extra sure that Sal was comfortable, safe, and not traumatized in ANY way!! She got the full spa day treatment!! New haircut, bath, nails, all of her shots and flea/tick preventive. An abscess on her was drained and treated, antibiotic given. They were kind, friendly, explained everything and made our family feel so welcome. Shout out to Ms. Jackie who is now my son's friend for life!!!! She was awesome and so hilarious!!!! Dr. Marikay was patient with questions and detailed in explaining plan of care. Love love love our new vet!!!!

Our potbelly pig was viciously mauled by 2 dogs that came onto our farm. We rushed him at 7:00 pm to PRVH on a Sunday night. Dr. MK and Sheila were there and stayed until close to midnight doing surgery on him saving him. He had multiple follow-up procedures and today with the exception of his tail being shorter and some problems when he pushes to go potty he is great.
